2. Locked Content
The key issue with locked content is when money is involved. If I pay full price for a game, I want the whole thing. No locked content on disc, no epilogue chapter I have to buy as DLC; I want the whole game I paid out good money for. Where money isn't involved, it's safe to say that locked elements of multiplayer games are pretty annoying, especially when you have to play through single player modes to unlock them. Just let me have friends, Mario Kart, and give me all the tracks from the word go.
