9. Irrelevant Quick Time Events
Quick Time Events used to be a gentle way of making sections of a game feel more cinematic. They used to give long cut-scenes a sense of interactivity, but now they are little more than a husk of their former glory. They're either too hard to the point of frustration, or offer so little challenge that they seem totally irrelevant. Stop taking the easy way out and actually design some proper gameplay, designers, as next generation can't hold on with more of this shoddy design going on.
