Sonic Generations

Sonic continues to disappoint us year after year, but it’s come to the point where you continually check out each new Sonic game just to see if Sega have done the inevitable. Will Sega be able to make Sonic relevant again with Generations? I guess we’ll find out when it releases early next month but, whether it does or doesn’t, I know that many will be forking out for it just to satisfy their curiosity.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

The Uncharted series has proven itself as one of the premier action franchises of this current console generation, and this alone will be enough to catapult it to the fore of commercial and critical success. The fact that the multiplayer beta for Drake’s Deception was also so enjoyable shows that it may also be a contender in the ever competitive arena of online shooters. With the multiplayer content under its belt as well, Drake’s Deception will no doubt pull in a sizeable first week sales figure.

Goldeneye 007: Reloaded

Goldeneye is one of the most famous games ever, being cemented in history as one of the first successful console FPS games. It was thus that last year’s Wii remake drew a lot of attention but, with many kids who grew up on 007 now being at the age where they’ve retired to the Xbox 360 and PS3 instead, it didn’t quite hit home with the same audience. Cue Goldeneye Reloaded, an HD remake and upgrade for PS3 and 360. Fans of the original will no doubt be lining up for this one, and the sharpshooter and PS Move bundle on PS3 will set you back even more than the average RRP.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection

The Metal Gear Solid series has been defining the stealth genre since its inception back in 1998. The second and third instalments, along with the immensely enjoyable Peace Walker on PSP, have been invading people’s PS2 and PSP units for sometime now, so the idea of HD remakes of all three sounds like a winner. For those without PSPs, this may also be their first time with the awesome Peace Walker, making the collection all the sweeter. Expect this one to be a drain on your time and money this November.
