Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Wow, I bet you didn’t see this one coming. The Call of Duty series has climbed the ranks since 2003, to the point where it has become one of the biggest selling media franchises ever. It’s pretty obvious that midnight launch queues will run for miles, and many of you will be short of your moolah in the coming month in order to pick up this bad boy when it launches on November 8th.
Super Mario 3D Land
It’s not often we’re privy to an entirely original Mario adventure and, whilst the recent surge of 2D Mario titles have been fun enough, the idea of a fully 3D title on 3DS seems like a nice change of pace. Nintendo’s dark swan of the handheld world needs its original killer app, and Super Mario 3D Land may just be what it needs. For this alone, it will be at the forefront of every Nintendo fan’s collection this November.
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations
Though the original didn’t quite live up to the hype, the Assassin’s Creed series managed to catch its wind with the sequel and Brotherhood, wowing gamers with its sophisticated gameplay and intriguing narrative. Brotherhood, whilst continuing the game’s brilliant story, managed to ask more questions than it answered, so the many of us who are captivated by the continuing adventures of Desmond and Ezio will no doubt be losing some cash when this one comes out; and probably many hours of sleep as well.
