Resonance of Fate
This wonderful game was released at a wrong time, wherein it got overshadowed by Final Fantasy XIII. Make no mistake about it; this game is better than Final Fantasy XIII, at least I think that way. The game has solid RPG mechanics, a diverse bunch of characters, intelligent boss fights and everything else that one would expect in a good RPG. The one place where it falls apart is that, it’s incredibly hard, and the game doesn’t guide your hand. If you are new to RPGs, prepare to get frustrated but if you love RPGs, you will love this game.
Puzzle Quest 2
Puzzle Quest 2 featured hallmark blend of match-3 gem matching and fantasy, with a simple but meaningful role playing experience where players can choose any of four character classes; War Mage, Inquisitor, Barbarian or Assassin. Each character class provides interesting twists during multiple play-throughs as players reclaim the once peaceful village of Verloren from the evil clutch of the demon Gorgon. The game was easy to learn but difficult to master and had surprisingly deep combat.
Darksiders
Darksiders is a lengthy and enjoyable adventure that will leave you satisfied. Darksiders started the year off right by delivering a solid experience albeit a few bumps along the way. With THQ already promising a sequel, Darksiders is a great start to what could become a fantastic franchise.
