10. The Xbox 360 Controller
I'm sure there'll be plenty of fan boy cries headed my way after this, but the 360 controller was one of the best hardware discoveries of the past few years of gaming. The thing just works, it feels good, looks good and is surprisingly easy to maintain and repair. In comparison to the mis-used Wii remote and the woefully fragile SixAxis and DualShock 3, the 360 controller really pulled ahead in the peripherals race.
