This is the most annoying feature in Borderlands 2. You only have 27 backpack slots and that too only if you upgrade using Eridium—which is a rare mineral found in the game, and you use it to upgrade at the black market. Considering there are a lot of guns here and limited slots to carry them, it becomes very, very annoying.
