Paying to Play Multiplayer on Consoles
A common advantage that PC gaming has over consoles is that you don’t need to pay to play multiplayer, whether it’s a paid or free-to-play title. While this is still the case for paid games on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, each has made strides in accommodating free-to-play titles. To enjoy multiplayer games like Rocket League, Halo Infinite and even the base Destiny 2, you don’t need PlayStation Plus or Nintendo Switch Online (with Xbox Live Gold adopting the same stance last year). It’s a small step but still one that’s greatly appreciated.
