Zombie Apocalypse
Separate from the regular apocalypse settings, zombie apocalypses are notable because, you guessed it, they were caused by zombie outbreaks. Although localized zombie outbreaks have been popular ever since Resident Evil first scared us back on the Playstation, zombie apocalypses are now becoming increasingly common, thanks to games like
Left 4 Dead and Dead Island. Even games like Red Dead Redemption, that have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with zombies, join in on the fun with their zombie add ons. And don’t even get me started on the Treyarch Call of Duty games. Shooting zombies seems to be a pass-time. I really wonder why. The poor creatures are lumbering and slow, how the heck did they manage to destroy the entire planet in the first place?
