4. Gray Fox - Metal Gear Solid

I suppose the upcoming Metal Gear Rising spin off goes partway towards fulfilling the cyborg ninja fantasy, but Gray Fox was the original character we all wanted to play as. Whilst Raiden looks bad ass in the new game, Gray Fox's chilling and emotional back-story makes him a much more desirable character to play as. Granted, the special VR missions expansion offered a ninja mode where you could play Gray Fox, but three arcade levels were never going to be enough to satisfy the desire to play this classic NPC.
