8. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty
I don't mean to pick on Kojima for this one, but it really just is one of those endings that is memorably nonsensical. I've played through MGS2 time and time again in the hope that it will eventually make sense, but it just doesn't. The moment you enter Arsenal Gear it all just gets weird, progressing to a less understandable plateau as the game reaches its conclusion.
