Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

It may be a port of a re-release of a game that was released in the same year as the re-release (contrived, I know), but it’s still one of the most anticipated games on the Vita. Surprisingly, UMVC3 on the Vita doesn’t look all that different from its console counterparts. The controls are the same, the visuals look just as good, and the character roster is also the same. So we already know that the game we’re going to get is a good one. Why, then, wold you want to miss it?

MotorStorm RC

I love the MotorStorm series. The first two games were an absolute blast, and the Apocalypse was a huge departure from the franchise’s formula, it was one of the best racers I’ve played in recent years. When I found out that the Vita will be getting a MotorStorm game of its own, I was overjoyed, and even more so when I found out that it wouldn’t just be a port or a re-imagining of the traditional PS3 games of the franchise. MotorStorm RC looks great- it looks fresh, creative, unique and more importantly, it looks a hell lot of fun. It’s definitely going to be a must-buy for all PS Vita owners.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma

Ninja Gaiden on the original Xbox was a great game, and so was Ninja Gaiden Sigma on the PS3. Getting to play the same game again might cause fatigue to settle in, but we don’t know that for sure yet- for all we know, Ninja Gaiden Sigma might turn out to be the PS Vita’s strongest action title. We already know the game is one of the best action adventure hack-n-slash games ever released, and with the PS Vita’s many control inputs, it’s going to be enhanced into a much better experience.

Final Fantasy X

Final Fantasy X, along with VI and IV, is my favourite Final Fantasy game of all time, and I’ve been waiting for Square Enix to announce at least a re-release, if not a remake, of the game for a long time. When they finally announced that they’ll be bringing FFX over to the PS Vita, I was overjoyed, and I knew that even if the rest of the library sucked, I’d have to get the system, just to play this game. In a day and age when JRPGs are a dying breed, to be able to play one is a joy indeed, and to be able to play one that is as excellent as this one is, is even more so.
