10 Reasons Why Black Ops 2 Will Change Call of Duty Forever

Zombies mode is bigger and better

It doesn’t matter if you’re a hater of Call of Duty or an avid fanboy. No matter who you are or what your level of “CoD liking” is, you do love the zombies mode in World at War and Black Ops. And if you don’t (and I mean no offence when I say this), you suck. Yes, you do. The zombies mode was the best thing that ever happened to CoD, and I salute Treyarch for having the balls to do something so surreal, different and unexpected. It may not be the best representation of zombies we have ever seen, but that doesn’t really matter. It’s a bucketload of fun, and it’s coming back, and it’s going to be much better in Black Ops 2, if what Treyarch says is anything to go by.

Treyarch is capable of big changes

Treyarch has proven over the years that they do not want to be stuck in a same rut. Unlike Infinity Ward (no disrespect to them), Treyarch likes to experiment with their games. They follow different structures, do different things with their online component, and with Black Ops 2, they’ve shown yet again that they want the franchise to grow and change for the better. It definitely looks like Black Ops 2 is going to be the change we’ve all been waiting for, and since it’s Treyarch that’s handling the game’s development, I am absolutely sure that it’ll be awesome.

Set pieces galore

Franchises like Uncharted are known for having dramatic, thrilling set pieces, but the series that looms large over all of them is Call of Duty. Call of Duty games have the best set pieces you’ll ever see- Eiffel Tower crumbling, the chopper sequence in Black Ops, the final mission in Modern Warfare and the chase sequence in MW3 are just a few examples of how good set pieces in CoD can get. And if the trailer of Black Ops 2 is anything to go by (which it obviously is), the set pieces are going to be just as thrilling here. Riding on horseback in the middle of a desert or a chase sequence on a highway in the war-torn LA look awesome, and will probably play even better.
