10 Things Open World Games Are Still Doing Wrong

When you’re playing an open world, you want to be completely immersed in it. You want that world to feel like it’s a living, breathing place, and a big part of that is being surrounded by NPCs that feel like real people- or close enough to real people, at least. Games like Red Dead Redemption 2 excel at stuff like that, and they’re significantly better for it. But then you have games like Cyberpunk 2077, where the NPCs you see milling about the world are governed by completely braindead AI. Their listless activities and the ridiculous ways they reacts to things happening around them completely break the illusion, and take you right out of the experience.
