While Pocketpair confirmed a collaboration with Re-Logic’s Terraria for next year, its next update for Palworld is coming much sooner. It’s a new island six times larger than Sakurajima and arrives in December.

Touted as the harshest yet, it also features new tower bosses and Pal species. Additional details will be revealed through the developer’s social media before launch, but Pocketpair says there’s a “large amount of new content” to look forward to. Check out some images of the new island below, including a new Bug-type Pal.

One can also glimpse a cavern with mysterious crystals (which could be a new resource) and a peak of strange structures overlooking the latest tower. Tower bosses typically consist of rival trainers with powerful new Pals, so it should be interesting to see who awaits after the base game’s challenges.

Palworld is available for PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. It’s also playable on Game Pass. Check out our review for the base game here.
