UNRESOLVED ARCS
All too often a byproduct of cliffhanger endings – in which case unresolved stories are obviously understandable, since the story isn’t over. But there are many games that decide not to resolve all of their arcs and storylines even when they’re supposed to be self-contained chapters.
For instance, Xenoblade Chronicles X left us with so many questions. What became of the Ganglion? What about the ghosts? What the hell happened with Lao and the Black Knight? Then there was Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow, which ended with a cliffhanger (which we haven’t seen the resolution for). Also, Dino Crisis 2- ended on a cliffhanger, but its sequel, for some reason, decided to do its own thing.
