Alan Wake
Not every journey into the woods is a fight for survival but some can play host to a range of terrors. Bright Falls in Alan Wake is one such place. It’s a beautiful place in the daytime, with Elderwood National Park serving as a strong tourist attraction. During the “dream” stages, however, it becomes a shadowy playground where mysterious creatures attempt to kill Wake. That contrast between the light and dark sides of the town serve to heighten the narrative’s unpredictability.
