Dead Space 2 – Your Mom Hates Dead Space 2
Ha! Moms, am I right? They’re so totally scandalized by gore! This is a stereotype that’s totally worth using to promote a multi-million dollar video game, right? Electronic Arts did just that though – they had different middle-aged women, who were not paid actors and in fact actually mothers, sit down and watch gory footage of Dead Space 2. Naturally, this led to some horrified reactions, the whole selling point being that the game is just that traumatizing. While not too far off the mark, you have to wonder if a trailer with some of the more horrifying moments that hadn’t been revealed till then wouldn’t have better sufficed.
