Los Santos is built and heavily inspired from the well known American city: Los Angeles. Many districts in Los Angeles county have been recreated in GTA 5. These include Santa Monica (Del Perro), Hollywood (Vinewood), Korea town (Little Seoul), Venice (Vespucci), Hollywood Hills (Vinewood Hills), and Downtown Los Angeles (Downtown Los Santos).
