Graphics and resolution matter in movies, games and in almost every aspect of the entertainment industry these days. Now bear in mind that the PS4 will be enabled for 4K resolution, but it will not have the capability to display games in 4K. It will have the capability to run movies in 4K resolution provided that you have a TV capable of handling that kind of awesomeness.
