The original Xbox controller was quite bad, but at least it was reliable and carried gamers far. During the early Xbox years Microsoft made many stupid mistakes, one of them was making the Xbox controller fat. The controller was too big for your hands, had unresponsive buttons, and was completely uncomfortable no matter which way you held it. Sometimes more is not good and Microsoft learnt that lesson.
