IGNORING LEGACY IP
We are, of course, excited about the fact that Microsoft are working on new and exciting things with their first parties, but there’s no denying that they have plenty of older, legacy IP under their belt that they’ve just been… sitting on. Fable is coming back, thankfully, and though we would love to see a return for Project Gotham Racing, it makes sense why that’s being ignored when Forza continues to move from strength to strength. Microsoft Flight Simulator is also returning, while Age of Empires 4 is also in the works (though that’s a PC-only thing). And we really, really hope that Microsoft keep that trend going for some time to come. Perfect Dark has been rumoured strongly, and we do hope that that really is The Initiative’s first game. And then there’s Banjo-Kazooie, which is probably one of Microsoft’s biggest and most beloved legacy IP- people would lose their minds if that did ever come back.
