13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Has Sold Over 300,000 Copies Worldwide

Vanillaware have developed what is probably their best game ever in 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Given the niche nature of not only the game itself, but also of the developer and its output as a whole, you might not understand the significance of that, but 13 Sentinels is easily one of the best new releases of 2020.

Obviously, we feel it deserves the kind of commercial success that seems congruous with its critical success, and while it hasn’t quite achieved that level of success, it’s still passed a decent sales landmark. In a new years greeting via Famitsu (translated by Persona Central), publisher Atlus confirmed that 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim has now sold over 300,000 units worldwide. Here’s to many more (hopefully).

In our review of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, we awarded it a score of 9/10, “bold, ambitious, and stirringly unique” and “a rich experience quite unlike anything else on the market.” Needless to say, we definitely recommend getting your hands on the game if you can.
