GIYGAS THEME (EARTHBOUND)
Everything to do with Giygas – the character, the moments leading up to the final confrontation with him, the confrontation itself – everything is the epitome of the kind of horror that makes your skin crawl, and theme theme accompanying him represents that perfectly. It’s suitably otherworldy, and chaotic in a very understated way. The fact that it conveys so much so well in spite of being from a game that’s over two decades old should tell you everything you need to know about it.
