The world map in Skyrim isn’t just an incredibly pretty image of the game’s stunning world taken from a Birdseye view. It’s actually a real time render of the world. That means you can actually see real time events taking place when you look closely. Fighting a dragon in the dead of night? Is it spewing fire out of its gaping maw? Then you might be able to see the distant glow of its flame if you take a close look at the map. Just another great detail in a world brimming with them.
