The puzzle doors in Skyrim – you know, the one’s where you line up the symbols shown on a jewel encrusted claw to make the incredibly ornate doors slide open – may seem deceptively simple, but there is a reason for this. If you find the book “Death of a Wanderer” while exploring Skyrim, you’ll learn that these doors are not built to keep adventurers out, but to keep the undead hordes of the Draugr from escaping. Now you know why you never seem them causally walking around Whiterun.
