When we think of Battlefield, we think of large open areas where tanks and jets fly overhead, snipers off in distant buildings setting up camp, ready to strike. We think of what military team will rein supreme. Battlefield Hardline was not that image. Hardline functioned really well for what it was: A cops and robbers game filled with numerous new game modes. But maybe EA should have taken off the “Battlefield” moniker and made it its own title. Single player, as we should all come to expect in “multiplayer first” style games was, again, not worth our time.
