14 PS5 Rumours That Were Completely Baseless

DELAYED INTO 2021

Another one that was quite easy to believe. Since the moment they’ve first started talking about it, Sony have remained adamant that the PS5 will launch in Holiday 2020, but a few months into this year, there were several reports that claimed that the console might get delayed into 2021. And it made sense, too- these reports claimed that the pandemic had presented a number of hurdles in the console’s manufacturing process, with procurement of components and actually putting them together in factories both being severely hampered by the pandemic. Sony staunchly maintained that the PS5 would not be delayed, however, and it now seems very unlikely that the console won’t launch this Holiday.
