1. Spec Ops: The Line – Start sin count. Stop. Cry.
War is brutal. Yeah, we all know that. Mindless killing, blood, gore, dead comrades etc etc. We’ve seen enough to know all that. Spec Ops: The Line redefined brutality. So much so that it made us cringe when we played through the game. And just when we thought the game had reached the epitome of the barbarism of war, we were introduced to chapter 8.
We’re faced with enemies and it’s raining cataclysm and we can’t do anything about it. We’re hard pressed to survive within inches of our lives and with all hell breaking loose around us, we are left with the chemical- white phosphorous. We survived the ordeal all right with that infernal chemical. But the walking back was when we realised that with survival came the laying waste to lives. Innocents burnt to dust and charcoal. Men, women and children murdered by you; screaming, moaning and begging. And you couldn’t do anything about it. We were scarred. Forever.
