Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne
The Shin Megami Tensei franchise has branched out in so many different properties since its inception, from Persona to Digital Devil Saga and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. However, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne is when the franchise transitioned into the modern console era, with a half-demon protagonist who recruiting other demons in post-apocalyptic Tokyo to fight with him. Incorporating a more contemporary setting with more stylized visuals, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne would become the backbone for future Atlus RPGs.
