Announced Too Early
In an interview with Tetsuya Nomura about directing Kingdom Hearts 3, Nomura explained that announcing Kingdom Hearts 3 was based on gamers becoming frustrated from numerous spinoffs and side stories with no main entry in sight. Announcing Kingdom Hearts 3 alongside Final Fantasy 15 may have been a bad choice since the game was so early in development. Kingdom Hearts 3 was announced back in 2013, so hopefully it’s moving along just fine now.
