As it turns out, Sony had a mascot that wasn’t Crash Bandicoot when it started out. Polygon Man was meant to be the face of PlayStation but it was viewed as a little too “unsuitable”. He wasn’t forgotten in the annals of history though – Polygon Man actually made an appearance as a final boss in PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale.
