The gold standard of remakes, survival horror games, and really, of single player games as a whole. Taking the excellent yet decidedly aged framework of the original RE2, its 2019 remake reimagines the classic horror experience in some truly radical ways. It does, of course, make some significant changes to everything from the level design and story to combat and, of course, the camera, but even though it feels like a whole new game in so many ways, it never loses touch with the game that it draws inspiration from. By this point, the RE2 remake has been praised to the moon and back by the masses, and it deserves every bit of that adoration.
