BULLET TIME (MAX PAYNE)

When you think Max Payne, you think bullet time. The two are synonymous with each other, more or less. The shooting galleries each of the three Max Payne games present players with are some of the best anyone can ever see in any game, but they’re made infinitely better through the use of the excellent bullet time mechanic, which sees the titular protagonist jumping through the air and gunning down his enemies in slow motion as bullets fly all around him. It’s excellent to see, and even more excellent to pull off.
