Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – Epilogue
Naughty Dog has done a lot of work to make us fall in love with Nathan Drake and crew over the years and through their globetrotting, larger than life adventures. While the journey through Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was throughly satisfying and a deep dive into the character of Nate, that subtitle was all it took to give series fans across the world deep anxiety about whether or not everybody would be making it out of this treasure hunt alive. So at the epilogue of the game, once we’ve already seen that our cast gets out just fine and are treated to a reprisal of an earlier fan service moment with the Crash Bandicoot Minigame, suddenly we’re in the shoes of an unknown girl. Cassie turns out to be the teenage daughter of an older Nathan and Elena Drake, now able to fondly reminisce about their journeys and share those stories with their child. It was the ending to the series nobody expected, but the one we’re all glad we got to see.
