Odin’s Death – Final Fantasy 8

If you have the Guardian Force Odin, who’s completely optional, in Final Fantasy 8 before fighting Seifer, then the latter can actually kill him in battle. This triggers a secret cutscene where Gilgamesh actually hops in to take Odin’s place. Only one of these GFs can actually be owned throughout the game so unless you really like Gilgamesh, we recommend picking up Odin after fighting Seifer. Which is holding him off for a long time but still.
