VIRTUOUS MISSION (SNAKE EATER)
Metal Gear Solid 3’s story only begins in earnest once The Boss betrays Snake, but there’s plenty else that goes on before then. The entire prologue – or the Virtuous Mission – is, without reservations, pure genius. It is a perfect introduction to the game’s jungle setting, teaching new mechanics to players and demanding that they make proper use of them at the same time, while also throwing you into one exciting situation after another.
