Destiny 2: The Final Shape
A shoo-in for the most successful GaaS FPS, Destiny 2 developers Bungie deserve credit for keeping their magical sci-fi shooter in the zeitgeist even though it’s now seven years out from its original release. The fact Destiny 2 keeps getting better is testament to their passion and dedication, an achievement gobbled up en masse by the game’s rabid player base. June’s colossal expansion The Final Shape is the conclusion to Destiny 2’s Light and Darkness saga, and alongside an engaging narrative whereby the Guardian and the Vanguard desperately attempt to thwart The Witness’ attempts to destroy all life in the universe, new super abilities for Light subclasses were added plus the new Prismatic subclass. Fresh weaponry, new free roam area the Pale Heart, new PvE environments, missions, and PvP maps, a new raid, and the series’ first ever 12 player PvE activity make The Final Shape the greatest expansion in Destiny’s history.
