Sonic Adventure 2
While it was received positively, Sonic Adventure 2 did leave some fans divided. Some preferred the first game and narrative, or even just freely exploring in the Adventure Stages. It was still a good step forward, expanding on the variety of each character type’s gameplay. Lightspeed dashes, tricks and proper timing adorned the stages of Sonic and Shadow while the shoot ’em up stages with Tails and Eggman mixed in careful hovering with precision.
The scavenger hunts with Knuckles and Rouge weren’t all great, but some still served as decent diversions. On top of all this, it offered significant visual improvements, tight controls and the same level of quality music. All in all, a worthy sequel and still worth diving into today.
