A console can survive on its company’s first party games alone. For the most part Nintendo has proven that. With minimal support from other companies, the House of Mario is just that: Mario. Let’s imagine a world of where Nintendo understood that gamers want and need more than an annual Mario or Zelda game. Imagine if Nintendo could pull in those third party publishers– even if said publishers made games that were not exclusive. Just something to make it feel equal to other consoles.
