The motivations of Alphys can be rather twisted throughout Undertale. Creating Mettaton, which is out to kill the player, and having it start with a quiz is perhaps the most heinous though. Even with Alphys indicating the correct answers, the quiz has some fun questions like whether the protagonist would smooch a ghost (all the choices are correct, by the way).
