Looking like a bad Power Rangers villain instead of an actual Sphinx, there are two routes when dealing with this boss. Answer his question correctly (and it helps if you obtained that hint earlier) and you can pass on through with eight coins. Answer wrong and you must fight the Sphinx who can teleport, shoot lightning and generally take a while to die.
