Onimusha
Between dual protagonists in Onimusha 3 and four playable characters in Dawn of Dreams (together with the “secret” co-op), the franchise has gone through its share of changes. Still, the first game’s hack-and-slash approach made for an endearing time, while the sequel added new mechanics, tougher difficulty and side quests with optional characters, all while maintaining a sleek runtime. With the Onimusha anime gaining some traction, there’s never been a better time to deliver a shorter experience akin to the older titles but with more contemporary mechanics.
