Return of the Obra Dinn
Any game from Lucas Pope of Papers Please fame is worth checking out, and Return of the Obra Dinn is arguably even better. It involves investigating the Obra Dinn, a merchant ship that set out in 1802 and was seemingly lost at sea before re-emerging in 1807. Your task is to investigate the damages and find out what happened to everyone on board. Using the Memento Mortem, one is transported to the time of death, delving deeper into endless folds of tragedy, laid out in gorgeous 1-bit visuals. Constructing the timeline of the ship’s downfall is extremely compelling, and will keep you on your toes.
