13. Deep Down

Deep Down blew minds when it was revealed at the February 2013 PlayStation Meeting, and for good reason. The game, developed by Capcom and overseen by Street Fighter wizard Yoshinori Ono, runs on Capcom’s exciting new Phanta Rhei engine and channels the Souls series in terms of aesthetics and gameplay. Dungeons are randomly generated and will feature co-op. The only downside that we know about so far is that the game will be free to play. Still, Capcom’s been hitting it out of the park with their new IPs recently, and there’s no reason to believe that they’ll stop now. In Ono we trust.
