Eternal Darkness
Silicon Knight’s Eternal Darkness is easily one of the scariest games ever made. When it was released for the Gamecube, the game had a tendency to get under the player’s skin thanks to its Sanity Effects – which included reducing in-game volume automatically or random jittering or other visual effects which symbolizes the player’s descent into insanity. Just imagine how these sanity effects could be expanded through the use of modern technology and multiplayer mechanics, and tell me that you are not salivating for a remake at this very moment.
