The Thing
Based on the popular movie of the same name, The Thing follows a group of soldiers as they try to unravel the mystery behind the sudden disappearance of a research group. The Thing excellently combines survival horror elements with action-packed gunfights alongside other gameplay innovations such as its trust-fear system and transforming enemies. While we would really love a remake, the developer ceased operations after going bankrupt sometime after the game’s release. To make matters worse, an ambitious sequel was also in the works at the time – which was, of course, canceled as well.
