Save File Corruption – Cyberpunk 2077
Save game file corruptions are nothing new, as this list has doubtless informed you. But Cyberpunk 2077 is no exception and suffered from perhaps the worst glitch of all in an open-world game – large save files becoming corrupted. So what massive size triggers this awful, no-good glitch? As it turns out, file sizes of 8 MB. Some even noticed that loading slowed down with a 6 MB save file. The only real fix at the time was not picking up items, crafting anything or keeping too much junk, which is a problem given the amount of loot. CD Projekt RED eventually addressed this, but considering the firestorm of controversy that the game faced at launch, it certainly didn’t help.
