It’s true, I thought of this idea from almost every major platform, adventure, action, RPG games ever! Character upgrades would be a nice touch for a slow paced game such as The Last Guardian. Now, there’s no saying if the developers have already implemented this or any of the previous ideas into the game already. Would it change the story in a bad way if the boy had an upgrade to allow for a double jump? How about the strength to swing and punch twice as hard? Or break a block in one hit? Character upgrades make every game more enjoyable. Though The Last Guardian is definitely going for a more story based setting, that doesn’t mean it has to be limited in any way. More does not always equal better. But to allow a game that we are expecting one thing, we play it then we get that “one thing” and so much more– that’s not usually a bad thing in itself. But of course, these ideas are just to allow us a little imagination into a world that has been in creation for several years.
