Observer does something very unique by using its hacking mechanics in a horror setting, but it works surprisingly well. You play as a detective who, being a detective, often needs to interrogate people- and does that by hacking into their minds. It’s an instantly fascinating concept, and Observer deserves all credit for executing it very, very well, and very stylishly at that. The hacking sections in the game are undoubtedly some of its highlights, and though the game is not without its flaws in other areas, when it’s good, it’s really good.
